What Is the Advanced Cyber Security Course at PNY Trainings?

This is not a basic IT safety workshop. The Advanced Cyber Security course in Arfa Tower at PNY Trainings is a professional-grade, hands-on training program that covers the full landscape of modern information security, from network defense and ethical hacking to cloud security and digital forensics.

The curriculum is built around real-world scenarios. You don't just study how a cyberattack works; you simulate them in controlled lab environments, learn how to detect them, and practice the same tools and techniques used by security analysts at top organizations worldwide.

PNY Trainings follows a methodology aligned with globally recognized certifications, including CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), CompTIA Security+, and other industry benchmarks, making your learning transferable well beyond Lahore.

Course Modules: What You Will Actually Study

Foundations of Information Security and Cyber Defense

You will learn the core principles that every security professional lives by: confidentiality, integrity, and availability. You will get familiar with ransomware, phishing, social engineering, malware and understand how attackers use them. You will also set up your own personal penetration testing lab, which you will use throughout the rest of the course to practice legally and safely. Security frameworks like ISO 27001 and NIST are introduced here as well, giving you the professional language that employers and clients expect you to speak.

Network Security and Traffic Analysis

Networks are where most attacks happen. Understanding how data moves and how attackers intercept, manipulate, or block it is non-negotiable for any serious cybersecurity professional.

In this module, you will learn to use Wireshark, one of the most powerful network analysis tools in the industry, to capture and inspect live traffic. You will configure firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and intrusion prevention systems. You will study wireless network attacks — how hackers exploit Wi-Fi vulnerabilities and how you defend against them. By the end of this module, you will be able to monitor a network, spot anomalies, and shut down threats before they escalate.

Ethical Hacking and Penetration Testing

Penetration testing is the practice of attacking systems with full permission, in order to find weaknesses before real attackers do. You will learn the complete methodology: reconnaissance, scanning, exploitation, post-exploitation, and professional reporting. You will use Nmap for network scanning, Metasploit for exploitation, and Burp Suite for web application testing.

You will practice attacking systems that have real vulnerabilities, SQL injection, cross-site scripting, broken authentication, the same ones that appear in the OWASP Top 10 list that security teams around the world use as their reference. You will also learn how to document your findings and write penetration testing reports that clients and employers can actually act on.

System Hacking, Malware Analysis, and Digital Forensics

To defend systems effectively, you need to understand how they are attacked at the deepest level. This module takes you inside the attacker's playbook.

You will study system hacking techniques, including password cracking, privilege escalation, and session hijacking. You will learn about different categories of malware, how they are built, how they behave, and how they spread. You will perform both static and dynamic malware analysis, meaning you will examine malicious code both by reading it and by watching it run in a controlled environment. Digital forensics rounds out this module: you will learn how to collect and preserve digital evidence, maintain the chain of custody, and conduct post-incident investigations that hold up under professional scrutiny.

Cloud Security and IoT Security

The modern attack surface has expanded far beyond traditional networks. Organizations now store critical data in the cloud and connect everything from factory equipment to office printers to the internet. Attackers know this, and so do the best defenders.

This module covers cloud security for AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud environments. You will learn how to configure identity and access management, secure cloud-hosted applications, and respond to cloud-based threats. IoT security is covered in parallel by understanding how connected devices are compromised and how to protect them. Container security and the principles of DevSecOps, integrating security into the software development lifecycle, are also introduced here.

Threat Intelligence, Risk Management, and Governance

Not every cybersecurity professional spends their day running exploits. Many work in roles that require strategic thinking, policy development, and organizational risk management. This module prepares you for those responsibilities.

You will learn how to gather and analyze threat intelligence, understanding who is attacking, how, and why. Risk assessment methodologies will teach you to evaluate an organization's vulnerabilities and prioritize what to fix first. Compliance frameworks, including GDPR, PCI-DSS, and HIPAA, are covered, along with how Security Operations Centers (SOCs) are structured and how SIEM platforms are used for real-time threat monitoring.

Certification Preparation and Career Readiness

Completing the course is one thing. Proving your skills to the world is another. This final module bridges that gap.

You will prepare for globally recognized certifications, including CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker) and CompTIA Security+, with practice exams, lab exercises, and structured review sessions. Career readiness training covers resume building, LinkedIn optimization, and interview preparation for roles like SOC analyst, penetration tester, and security consultant. Freelancing guidance walks you through setting up professional profiles on Upwork and Fiverr and pitching security services to international clients.
